bowling party

The best way to have a bowling party is to actually go to the bowling alley to do so. Here are some tips and ideas to host a fun bowling party!

  • Call the bowling alley plenty of time prior to the party date to reserve lanes and let them know it is for a birthday party.  Sometimes they will have birthday party packages.

  • Ask bowling alley what their rules are for decorations and food items that you can bring in.

  • For invitations, cut several circles out of poster board or construction paper.  Add party info and draw on three (finger holes)... or order custom bowling party invitations from Tiny Prints:

  • If allowed, bring in a huge covered Tupperware bowl with Chex Mix or Popcorn with m&ms.

  • Don't forget to bring a plastic tablecover, paper plates, plastic flatware, and bottled water.

  • Decorate in shades of blue, white, red, and black

  • Ask your child to choose a name for his bowling buddies team.  Order or make custom tee shirts or custom bowling shirts with a bowling ball and team name to hand out for party favors.  Also, this is a good way to keep track of small party guests at the bowling alley.
  • If you can decorate, bring a custom banner with the team's name and birthday child's name also.
  • Make centerpiece with helium balloons tied to a bowling pin (ask if bowling alley has used ones for sale)
