gender neutral baby showers

Like surprises?  What fun to shower the Mom-to-be with a themed baby shower that is also gender neutral!

Here are a few unique ideas that we have fallen in love with!

Little Sunshine

Decorate in sunshine yellow, grey, and white.  Use patterned fabric ribbon like these chevron and polka dot to recreate this cute garland.

Using fabric paint, create these darling onsies.  Use wooden clothespins to hang these and the fabric ribbon on twine.

Gender Reveal Party

If you think you can keep baby's gender a secret from family and friends prior to the shower, then you are sure to be able to pull off a gender reveal party!

Decorate in both pale pink and light blue, not giving away anything until... wait for it... the cutting of the cake!  When the happy parents-to-be cut into it, the inside of the cake with either be pink or blue and then the cat will be out of the bag!  Meanwhile, the party games will include the guests trying to take votes on what the sex of the child is is sure to be a great time!

Barnyard Baby Shower

Decorate using burlap for table covers. Tie pastel helium balloons to mini bales of straw (found at your local craft store) for instant centerpieces. Make your own party favors: Purchase cute farm animal print fabric. Cut into 8" diameter circles. Fill with mints, nuts, Jordan Almonds, etc. Bring all corners of fabric to center and secure with pretty matching fabric ribbon. Use kraft paper cut into squares and affix to twine to use as a baby shower banner. Serve lemonade in mason jars with cute pastel straws.

Play "baby animal guess" Type a list of animals on one side of page. Hand out to each guest. Have each guest write down what the name of the baby animal is next to each. The one who guesses the most correctly wins! Line a wheelbarrow with plastic garbage bags or tarp, fill with ice (enough to cover your plastic), and load with various bottled soda, tea, and water.Serve Pigs in a Blanket, and Buttermilk Biscuit Ham Sandwiches.  Use gingham tablecovers and wrap flatware with a matching napkin and secure with raffia.
